We understand a lot of you can't make it to WHDMi in person but you can still be there by supporting the cause. We set our biggest ever goal this year, to donate 200 total hula hoops to the kids of Detroit. Every $20 donation pays for the supplies of 5 hula hoops that the SPiN Team Volunteers will assemble. These will not be dollar store hoops that will quickly bend and break, these hoops will be made durable to last a decade or more.

Organizations will receive up to 40 hula hoops, more if requested​. We can't wait to donate hula hoops to the following organizations.

Caleb's Kids Mission: To create a transformative educational experience for families focused on mental wellness and preventing suicide completion through innovative and evidence-based program delivery.

Ruth Ellis Center Founded in 1999, Ruth Ellis Center (REC) has established a national reputation for quality and innovation in providing trauma-informed services for lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth, and young adults, with an emphasis on young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involved in the child welfare system, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing.

Alternatives For Girls Our mission is to help girls and young women experiencing homelessness and other risks avoid violence, early pregnancy, and exploitation; and help them to explore and access the support, resources, and opportunities necessary to be safe, to grow strong, and to make positive choices for their lives.
